Building on their previous experience as a nonprofit organization, in 2020 the remaining active members of BgLUG decided to transfer their membership fees and the assets still owned by the association to FabLab Bergamo APS, an association of makers with whom we had already collaborated on several projects and whose ideals and goals resonated (and still resonate!) with our objectives and the group’s lifestyle.

As a Social Promotion Association (APS), FabLab Bergamo complies with the Third Sector Reform, is registered in the National Single Register of the Third Sector (RUNTS) and is also eligible to receive the 5 per mille donation.

In recognition of BgLUG’s hard work in its local and national activities, FabLab Bergamo has decided to grant the status of formal interest group within the association to the group of new members who joined from BgLUG, thus allowing the working group to maintain its identity and visibility in the local area and also providing a new venue for the working group’s meetings.

Thus began a new and fruitful phase for BgLUG, in close collaboration with the makers of FabLab Bergamo.
